In the context of developing a machine to automatically crochet fabrics, suitable design tool tailored new technology and enabling its application is crucial. The paper offers first insights into prototype presents approach such implemented in Python for creating, modeling generating instructions. With graphical user interface (GUI), flat crocheted fabric can be designed by arranging international symbols slip stitch (SL), single (SC) half double (HDC). Built-in error checking mechanisms, following rules machine’s constraints, will aid inexperienced crocheters this process. Based on resulting computer representation as an array containing short strings respective stitches, topology-based 3D model at meso scale created preview fabric. Also, instructions with are generated mapping stitches macros G-code appending them valid order. straightforward shows capabilities extensible further enhancements.
